In 2012, MAFEHO opened it’s first Rural Outreach Clinic in the village of Odowo. The clinic has been dubbed the Yemi-Ajayi clinic after the founder’s grandmother. Odowo, is a village in Ondo state with a population of slightly over 1,000 people, it is also a centre for trade among rural communities nearby. This makes it a perfect location for a centralised Rural Outreach centre capable of reaching communities nearby.
MAFEHO partnered with the traditional ruler of Odowo Village who kindly provided the site for the clinic, while MAFEHO constructed and equipped the building and will continue to provide training and expertise.
